| Indianapolis-based Boomerang Ventures has made a $250,000 pre-seed investment into Indianapolis-based EarSmartAI, a startup that’s developing technology to help families identify potential ear infections at home. EarSmartAI uses a mobile app, a “smart” otoscope and artificial intelligence-powered software to help detect ear infections and reduce unnecessary doctor’s office visits. EarSmartAI has also named Mark Terrill, a veteran medical technology entrepreneur, as CEO and co-founder to lead the company through regulatory advancement, commercialization and growth. |
