What does the company do? Primary Record allows individuals and caregivers to consolidate
health data from various sources—such as patient portals, paper records and personal notes—into a single, secure location they can share with family members and health care professionals.
What problem is it trying to solve? Primary Record “was born out of firsthand experiences with the complexities of health care coordination. Our mission is to empower families with the tools they need to manage health information confidently, leading to better care outcomes and reduced stress for caregivers,” the company said.
Latest news: Daughterhood, an organization dedicated to supporting caregivers, last month announced a partnership with Primary Record, essentially endorsing the service for its members. Also, Primary Record co-founder Jean Ross, a nurse, was one of six startup founders to pitch last month at the Senior Living 100 Leadership Conference’s 2nd Annual Pitch-Fest of Emerging Tech.
Why Primary Record made the list: Primary Record is attacking a problem that every family faces—or will face—with a solution that has been endorsed by several companies and organizations. And last year, the Indiana Economic Development Corp. named Primary Record its small business of the year.
