Todd R. Lugar is the Controller for the Studio side of Boomerang Ventures and its portfolio companies, providing financial structure setup, ongoing accounting support, and strategic planning assistance for the Studio’s new companies. Todd brings experience in finance, accounting, operations, strategic thinking and planning, marketing, and communication to the Boomerang team. He also has expertise in mergers and acquisitions, both as a professional in the field and as a principal in multiple transactions.
Prior to joining Boomerang Ventures, Todd enjoyed a 40+ year career of leading and working with small to medium-sized businesses across multiple industries. With primary expertise in finance and financial operations, he held CEO or executive leadership positions with companies in manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, and healthcare. Todd also spent time in the investment banking space as an associate and director with several regional boutique firms.
Todd is also committed to civic leadership and has served as a board member for numerous non-profit organizations and industry associations, including a term as president of the Indianapolis Rotary Club. He founded a state-wide initiative related to international trade and was recognized among Indianapolis’ 40 under 40 by the Indianapolis Business Journal. Todd has a passion for assisting young companies with their challenges and mentoring entrepreneurial leadership, teaching them to think strategically and work on both the business and within the business.
Todd is a graduate of Purdue University and was a varsity collegiate tennis player at the University of Texas and Purdue.
