Helping lead Boomerang’s venture fund, Alex shapes fund strategy, portfolio construction, and investor relationships that advance the firm’s mission to bring healthcare ideas to market. She works with founders and the Studio team to identify, de-risk, and scale connected health technologies, drawing on a career spanning clinical care, digital health, and venture investing.
Before Boomerang, Alex was a Principal at Kaiser Permanente Ventures, where she sourced and evaluated early-stage digital health and medtech companies and served on portfolio boards, including Omada through its IPO. Earlier, as Senior Director of Product Management on the Digital Care Delivery team at Elevance Health (formerly Anthem), she built partnerships with scaling digital health startups and helped lead one of the field’s largest randomized controlled trials. She began her career as an occupational therapist at the University of Chicago Medicine, the Cleveland Clinic, and Children’s Hospital Colorado.
